Last week I showed you how to track down easy work from home ideas and I promised I would show you how to build and promote your very own web site. I do hope that you invested your time wisely last week and started your home career with the free tools I introduced to you.

For the ones who did, lets find out how to implement those keywords which you have found. You have to promise yourself that you will take every single step and do not try to do this half or the results will hardly be effective at all.

The first thing you need to decide next, is which way you want to go, there are two options and I will discuss the first one today.

Option #1. Create your own info product around the keywords you have chosen, let’s say your main keyword is gardening, you could write an Ebook, or hire somebody to write it, about “How to get the best looking garden in your neighborhood”.

You have the Ebook, now you need a sales page where you can send your prospects. To do this work at home opportunity successfully you need to get an effective sales page. To achieve this you might have to do some studying because your sales page will be the only opportunity to sell your product. Your Ebook might be very good, but if your sales page is not then you won’t sell a lot of Ebooks.

Put some bullet points in there, if possible get testimonials, try to give some extra incentives for people to buy your product and also very important, get your visitors to subscribe to your newsletter or mini course. The one thing most important, make sure that your payment system is in place and that it works correctly.

Ok, at this moment you have a product to sell and you have a sales page where you can send your customers. Now it is time to start testing, set up a google campaign filled with all the info product related keywords you can come up with. In the future you might want to set up an affiliate program where you can offer other people to sell your product for a percentage of the profits but that is something you should not be doing yet.

In this stage you need to do a lot of testing, keep full control by checking how many visitors you need before you sell one of your Ebooks, this will show you how well your product converts. Try different sales letter lay outs to see which one performs best, try different google ads to learn which keywords and which ad copy perform best and keep doing this till you are convinced that you have got the best selling sales page possible.

Mental Block. There have been countless times when I’ve sat in front of my computer with an idea and just stared at the monitor with a total “block”. * Plan your projects

If you sit down and jot down a few action points and set goals for those points you will have a basic plan on how you will achieve your ultimate goal. And thus will have a “roadmap” to a successful project. You will benefit from a good plan even if it’s a small project. Make sure that you have something “tangible” at the of an action point so that you’ll have a feeling of accomplishment once you complete that step. This helps to keep your motivation high. Breaking down your projects into smaller ones with a drawn out plan is always a good idea.

* Researching on the internet.

The most notorious areas that present mental blocks are in the information technology fields. Simply, tech problems. How many times have you tried to get your website to do what you want and had to fight HTML to do it? Many work at home businesses die in their infancy because the owners couldn’t figure out a few tech problems. Organizing the area that you do your work helps put your mind into an organized state. This helps in the thought process. A cluttered desk would throw the mind off because subconsciously your mind is trying to organize the clutter while you sit there trying to figure out how to do your project.

Your mind is not a single processed machine. It can handle many tasks at the same time. That’s why you can talk and chew gum at the same time without swallowing it. Tackling projects is the same. So don’t give your mind subconscious chores that takes it’s attention away from the main task. You wondered why it’s so quiet in a library? Sound snaps our minds out of focused study. A cluttered work area or desk will do the same thing. So keep your work areas neat and tidy.

* Talk to others

It helps a great deal if you can get the input of others. Sometimes you could sit at your desk for hours and not come up with a way to do something and then you talk to a friend who’s done it and tells you how to do it easily. Don’t bare the weight of the world alone. Get help from your friends and your lovedones. You’ll be surprised at how easily your mental block can be freed.

* Outsource

If you can’t do it yourself – pay someone to do it for you. This will cost you a few dollars obviously. But it’s the most direct way to beat the “block”. Looking for work from home ideas? In a previous article I discussed an work from home business idea that was perfect for someone who wanted to start a business but did not know the first thing about getting started or how.

There are two other work from ideas that are great for anyone with no experience.

There are a few things that I looked for in a business when I first got started.

I was looking for a business that:

* Was easy to get started. It would not require a lot time to set up and get running.

* Already had a system in place just like a franchise and all I had to do was plug it in and turn the key, and it did not require a franchise type of investment in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

* Training and support. Training I had access to at anytime and I could follow it step by step.

* I could run from home, or least anywhere I wanted to with a laptop. Home gets boring sometimes for me, and I need to get out. Can anyone say Starbucks or the park?

After much searching, I came across two businesses that I could do from home and it fit the criteria I was looking for.

Affiliate Type Business

This is also known as affiliate marketing. Basically it’s a business where you find products, usually someone else’s, promote it by referring people who are interested in the product to the merchant, and in return you are paid for referring the customer.

There are many ways you could get paid. One way is by simply referring the customer. The other is when the customer actually purchases the product you are promoting.

Promote an eBook or Information Products

If you have a specialized skill or something of interest that you think someone would be interested in, have you thought about writing an eBook?

EBooks are a great way to start a business online. It is very inexpensive to do. You would have to set up a website, but these days that is not all that expensive to do.
